Her story

From planning events to leading a movement

Mrs Sithabiso Mazibeli-Marangwanda works in the business of bringing people together. As chief operating officer of Nematombo Group, an event-planning company, she was quoted in 2022 by an international news report on how budgets and social media were changing roora celebrations in Zimbabwe.

In February 2025 she held the first Proverbs 31 event, the Take Off Meet and Greet. Within its first year the network went on to hold a business brunch and showcase, two days of enterprise training with SMEDCO, a greenhouse farming visit for members curious about agribusiness, a digital-identity event and a health and wellness breakfast.

She does not treat these as separate events. In her own words at the close of 2025, the network is “not just a support system but a movement,” and she has watched members become “courageous leaders, purpose-driven builders, and women who are unafraid to take territory.” She speaks about the new ventures and collaborations that have grown out of the network.

Her big vision

Her stated aim is for women to build “not just businesses, but legacies rooted in excellence.” The plan she set out for 2026 reads like that sentence turned into a calendar: expanded mentorship cycles, a business directory and online marketplaces for member visibility, masterclasses and leadership training, multi-day events, community outreach and charity drives, and an annual gala and awards evening.

A heart for women and girls

The network she leads does not stop at women who already have companies. Pearl membership is open to students, job seekers and idea-stage founders. Young Women on Campus pairs university women with members who have built real businesses, and a youth-focused programme sits on her 2026 plan. On health, she has said publicly that screening “should be an ongoing national health exercise rather than a campaign limited to October.”

Alongside the network she keeps a personal brand, Kubika Namai Nematombo, where followers meet her through cooking videos and can then find the wider community.
